His ‘nuke’ threats are empty. Russia doesn’t view the Glen Serving Size, Nutrition Label Calories T-Shirt also I will do this Ukraine War as an existential threat. Sanctions? Maybe, but not the war they started to “kill nazis.” But you have to draw the line somewhere. Either we let Putin retake as much European real estate as he wants, or put our collective foot down here and now. The US can only realistically send guns, stingers and javelins. Jets won’t help because Ukraine isn’t trained on American jets it it would take a year to get them up to speed. Tanks won’t help because that’ll take months of training. Same with many other complex systems. But, what the US can do is encourage EU nations to divest themselves of military hardware that Ukraine can use (e.g., like what Poland did with the MiG 29s) and perhaps offer them a discount on NATO compatible hardware. I can kind of understand the hesitancy tbh. I get that the Ukraine situation is different, but a lot of people are burnt out from our forever wars in the middle east and afraid of getting sucked into another endless military conflict. Personally, I’d be in favor of military action if there was a clear exit strategy, but I would be a lot more wary of it otherwise. I feel like the devil’s really in the details here.

This is one of the Glen Serving Size, Nutrition Label Calories T-Shirt also I will do this reasons why I think it’s important to have a clear strategy for military engagement. This is probably the most difficult foreign policy dilemma that this country’s faced for decades, and our leaders need to have a clear plan of action. They seem to have a plan – belt Russia’s economy with sanctions and arm the resistance. Early indications are it seems to be working too. Personally I far prefer that to direct military intervention. Much less messy and lower risk of nuclear conflict. That’s really beyond my ability to answer. Im not sure what approach it would be best to take under the circumstances. I think the approach Biden and other leaders so far, which in terms of sanctions seem to be getting stricter by the day, is the only option they have. Direct military conflict between US and Russia is out of the question. Putin is only allowed to play boy-king as long as the oligarchs (ie. mafia) in Russia is happy. They’re not happy. The expanding sanctions are beginning to hit them hard. Putin is likely going to be told to end this SOON or they will. So look for Russia to step up their offensive in the coming days. If they can’t manage to secure a decisive victory in that time, they’ll likely begin to pull back. Particularly if the sanctions increase. Right now assets are ‘frozen’. Let talk begin of ‘seizing’ those assets. The mafia in Russia can stand to have their money tied up for a short time, but if they’re looking at the possibilities of having it SEIZED.. that’s hundreds of billions they lose overnight. They won’t stand for that. Even if it starts small – a little in this country, a little in this one. Beginning seizures of those assets will be the last steps in the sanctions process and the one that ends the war. But as you can, direct military conflict between the US & Russia is out. The first Russian killed by an American over there will be all the ‘justification’ Putin needs to go all in on the war.
